Workers Rising: Training Day - Kickstart Your Community Organizing with WSN!

Join us for a full day on March 22nd at Grandview Church (1803 E. 1st Ave, Vancouver, B.C.) for a series of workshops where we share tools and information on how to organize in your community!

As we continue building worker power at the grassroots, we want to create space for people who are interested in their rights as workers to come together and discuss ways to build a workers movement in B.C. Our day will consist of workshops including:

• Know Your Rights as a BC Worker - how to recover your lost wages
• The Climate Crisis in the Workplace
• Health & Safety As An Organizing Tool At Your Workplace
• And more!

Doors will open at 9am where light snacks and beverages will be provided.
Everyone will have the opportunity to attend all the workshops as there won't be any overlap.
We will have a zine making/ child-minding corner in the room where volunteers will be guiding people of all ages on how to create their own zines and where your child can also colour and create. All ages are welcome!

There will be a 1 hour lunch break where food and beverages will be provided to all registrants at no cost! Please indicate any allergies when you register.

Masks will be mandatory for the duration of the program. We will be offering masks at the registration desk upon entry if you need it.
The venue is wheelchair accessible and all bathrooms are gender neutral. We are excited about building community and want all our participants to be respectful towards each other and the staff.
