Interested in understanding how climate justice and worker justice intersect? Want to organize your workplace but don't know where to begin? As temperatures rise, workers do, too!
We are hosting a four-part workshop series to connect with workers, hear from community organizers, and promote our climate and labour justice digital toolkit. These workshops are open to anyone interested in joining to learn more about our campaign, share stories, and ask questions about your rights at work!
Our fourth and final session, Tips and Tricks for Initiating Conversations with Coworkers: Building Worker Power in the Face of Climate Crises will provide tools for how we can initiate conversations with coworkers to identify shared interests for change and work toward organizing together.
We will begin this session by sharing an overview of how we conducted our climate and labour project to connect with workers through conversation and build a list of demands together. Our guest speakers, Laura and Yaosca will then share their experiences of using Workers' Inquiry as an effective and powerful tool for connecting with coworkers. We will also be joined by Izzy Adachi who will speak to the value of connecting with coworkers specifically in the context of and experience with Starbucks organizing!
If interested, please check out our digital toolkit which includes some basic information that will be covered in our workshop series.
