The Paleontological Research Institution has long been a leader in climate change
education. In 2024, we launched The Center for Climate Change Education.
See: https://climate.earthathome.org/. The Center advances climate change education
that is action-oriented and helps people understand the origins, causes, and urgency of
modern climate change. It includes a focus on how to act across scales from the
personal to the global to address the climate emergency and engages educators and
learners in those actions.
The Climate Literacy and Energy Awareness Network (CLEAN) is a community effort,
brought to you by scores of educators, scientists, and curriculum
developers. See: https://cleanet.org/. CLEAN’s resources are reviewed by both
scientists and educators to ensure that they are scientifically accurate and
pedagogically appropriate.
Join us for a rich discussion about the work of both the Center and CLEAN and an
exploration of resources and programs from both groups.
Each week we will offer 3 information sessions at the following times, special guests will be listed as available:
Tuesday 3/3
4:00 PM EST - CLEAN and PRI
7:00 PM EST - CLEAN and PRI
Wednesday 3/4
9:00 AM EST - CLEAN and PRI
