On Tuesday evening, Climate Action Rhode Island’s (CARI) Yes to Wind campaign will host a protest at Queen Anne Square in Newport to oppose the Trump administration’s stop work order for the nearly-complete Revolution Wind offshore wind project.

The event will feature remarks from Rhode Island elected officials and community leaders, highlighting the project’s importance for lowering energy costs, creating good jobs, and securing Rhode Island’s energy future with offshore wind.

Confirmed speakers include:

• Dawn Euer, State Senator for Rhode Island District 13
• Lauren Carson, Rhode Island House Representative for the 75th District
• Stephen Porder, Acacia Professor of Ecology, Evolutionary and Organismal Biology and Environment and Society at Brown University
• Amanda Barker, Clean Energy Program Coordinator at Green Energy Consumers Alliance
