Youth Climate Strike: Tear Down the Pillars of Fossil Fuels

Start: Friday, September 20, 2024 2:00 PM

Fossil fuels are the number one contributor to the climate crisis. Just this summer, we’ve taken on the fossil fuel industry from all angles in New York City. From locking down CitiBank, to rallying outside Governor Hochul’s office, we’ve been in the streets, fighting to end the era of fossil fuels.

On September 20th, we will march together at Fridays For Future NYC’s youth-led climate strike, before New York City Climate Week. We're here to TEAR DOWN the Pillars of Fossil Fuels:

1. Polluters: Stop polluting the Gulf South

2. Funders: Stop funding fossil fuels

3. Leaders: Hocul sign the Superfund Act.

It will take place on September 20th at 2pm at Foley Square, to kick off the week of actions and events. Young people and people of all generations are going to march across Brooklyn Bridge to demand an end to the era of fossil fuels in solidarity with people around the world. We will end with a rally with speakers at Borough Hall. This strike is a part of global day of action on 9/20 calling on Polluters, Funders, and Leaders to ditch fossil fuels.

We'll see you there!!
