❓What’s this all about?
We’re hosting a 3-part Zine-Making Workshop where we’ll learn how to turn big ideas into small, powerful packages — aka zines! Whether you want to break down immigration rights, demystify Roberts Rules, explain mutual aid, or share a personal story, this is a hands-on, low-pressure way to build your storytelling skills, hang with comrades, and make something cool together.
No experience needed! Just bring your curiosity (and maybe some scissors).

Workshop 1: Crafting a Radical Tool
Wed Mar 19 | 7:30pm—9pm ET (Zoom)
Goal: Learn the basics + start shaping your zine’s content.
Prepare: Review existing zines and bring a few topics to explore.
Kickoff with a mindful creative exercise
Zine-spiration: Solid examples & best practices
Storytelling 101 — how to structure, simplify, and make your message stick
Work session: Draft your topic, goal, audience, and content outline
Share Out + feedback circle
Homework: Write your 8 pages of text (don’t worry — we’ll help!)
Workshop 2: Design & Publishing
Wed Apr 2 | 7:30pm—9:00pm ET (Zoom)
Goal: Bring your words to life with layout & design.
Prepare: Bring the text for your zine so we can figure out how it goes on the page.
Quick creative sketch to warm up
More zine-spiration — this time it’s all about fonts, colors, graphics, and layout
Tools & techniques: Pen & paper, Canva, Google Slides, a napkin, and more
Quiet design/doodle time (with chill tunes)
How to print & publish — folding, scrolling, digital sharing
Homework: Finalize your zine & print it (or send to us to print)
Workshop 3: Zine Party!
Sat Apr 12 | 1:00pm—3:00pm ET (In-person, Location TBD)
Goal: Celebrate & swap your zines!
Prepare: Bring copies of your final zine (we can help with this!)
