Funding

Thank you for wanting to join the 10-Week Kingian Nonviolence Program! We are aiming to support those for whom the cost may be a barrier of entry. We want to ensure this program is as accessible as possible, and do not want to turn people away for lack of funds.

If you cannot cover the full cost:
1. we kindly ask you to first check with your mother project whether it can cover the remainder of the ticket (if so, please buy the full ticket). We ask that, if you can, you consider supporting the cost to ensure all are able to access the program.
2. if it can't do so, or it can do so only partially, please enter — here on the sidebar — the amount of money you and your project would be able to invest. We will cover what remains with scholarship funds that we are trying our best to find.

In both cases, when signing up now please coordinate yourself with your project so to make a single transaction to Resilient Uprising, of the amount you declare in the sidebar. We ask that you input the amount you and your project may be able to contribute, between $0 - $300.

Once funding is confirmed, we will send out a calendar invite with the zoom link to attend the sessions, along with how to contribute for those able to cover some of the program cost.

Program

Currently, we are proposing to start the program on Tuesday 28th January and it will run for 10 weeks on a 2 weekly structure, i.e.:
- Weeks 1, 3, 5, 7, 9 will have two calls on the same days and times [Tuesdays & Thursdays at 6:30pm GMT] and;
- Weeks 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 will have two calls on the same day and times [Thursdays at 6:30pm GMT & one other day earlier in the week with your project]

By signing up you will be committing to attend the 10 week course. This includes running internal workshops every 2 weeks within your project, in which you disseminate that which you learnt in the workshops the earlier week. We recommend, where possible, that 2-3 people from each project sign-up to the 10-week program, so you are able to support each other with this.

Upon booking your place, you will receive a calendar invite with the Zoom link to all the sessions.

In summary, the following is the proposed structure:
TUESDAY Week 1 WORKSHOP
1:30pm EST / 6:30pm GMT / 7:30pm CET
2 hours plus 10 min break in the middle
Facilitators: 2-3 trainers from CTCN. Primarily Victoria and John + other visiting trainer.

THURSDAY Week 1 PREPARATION SESSION
1:30pm EST / 6:30pm GMT / 7:30pm CET
1 hour 30 mins
Facilitators: Jacob from CTCN + people from the Resilient Uprising Kingian team.

DAY TBC Week 2 INTERNAL WORKSHOPS
Each project decides the day and time
Recommended to last 1-2 hours.
Facilitators: The participants who attended the two events on week 1.

THURSDAY Week 2 DEBRIEF
1:30pm EST / 6:30pm GMT / 7:30pm CET
1 hour
Facilitators: 2-3 people from the Resilient Uprising Kingian team.

And so on and so forth throughout the rest of the weeks (weeks 3-10).

Attendence is key! Both for the dynamics of the workshops and the possibility of ask questions! That being said, all meetings will be recorded, so you're covered in the eventuality you miss one or two. We need to get at least 20 people signed up for the program to begin!
