A committee position is a substantial time commitment, and if an applicant is offered and accepts a committee position, they are committing to fulfilling this time commitment, while recognizing that committee members are students with fluctuating schedules. If you are interested in being involved in LSCA but cannot meet this time commitment, there will be many opportunities to be involved through organizing on your campus or working on an LSCA research project. We expect that we will be able to offer committee members stipends, and we will have the amount of the stipend confirmed before applicants are required to accept their positions.

We want applicants who can think strategically and organize effectively to push law firms to align their work with a just future. Further, it is crucial that applicants understand the way that climate justice is intrinsically connected to justice issues including racial justice, economic justice, immigrant rights, anti-imperialism, and more. BIPOC, low-income, LGBTQIA+, non-binary, and non-citizen law students and law students with disabilities are all strongly encouraged to apply.
