The lack of paid sick leave is driving us into the third wave of the pandemic.

Many workers remain unvaccinated while working without paid sick days. There were 936 new cases from Friday March 26 to Saturday March 27. This is the highest single day figure reported in the province. This is problematic especially since Dr. Bonnie Henry said that clusters in workplaces are driving new infections.

Have you lost income for taking a sick day? The B.C. government is announcing their budget on April 20th and we’d like to let them know the amount of wages lost when workers take an unpaid sick day.  

Help us let the B.C. government know that it’s not the time now (or ever) to have unpaid sick days. If you’ve taken an unpaid sick day, let us know how much that cost you. The form on the side takes two seconds to fill out and we will share the total amount of income lost with the B.C. government.
