The bills introduced in the 2025 and 2026 legislative sessions would ensure that students have physical and virtual access to medication abortion services in a cost-effective and safe manner, particularly in light of the challenges posed by the Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization Supreme Court decision, which has resulted in longer wait times and financial burdens for students seeking abortion care.

If you want destigmatized and LGBTQIA+ inclusive access to medication abortion services at campus health centers in Washington, you are not alone! If you don't know what to do, don't worry. That's why Washington students are organizing through Abortion on Campus—Washington, a program of Advocates for Youth.

Young people and students are rarely included in conversations about legislative priorities, policy, and decision making. Just wait until these politicians find out what happens when college students and communities across the state work together towards the same goal!
