T1international has surveyed and analyzed out-of-pocket expenses for people living with type 1 diabetes around the world since 2016. Please join us for the launch of our 2024 survey results release.
The launch of T1International's 2024 out-of-pocket cost survey will cover:
- Out-of-Pocket Expenses: updated costs for insulin and glucose monitoring supplies across the globe
- Rationing: updated statistics on the frequency of rationing insulin and glucose monitoring supplies
- Fight for Five Update: the percentage of income spent on insulin and glucose monitoring supplies compared to T1International's goal that no one should spend more than 5% of their income on insulin and glucose monitoring supplies.
- Access and Affordability: accessibility of insulin and glucose monitoring supplies during increasing times of shortages and how households have to impact their budgeting to afford insulin and glucose testing supplies
- Trends: trends in affordability and accessibility over time and by national economic classification
- World Health Organization Affordability Framework vs. Reality: comparisons of percentage of income, rationing frequency, and affordability and accessibility, as collecting in our survey compared to the World Health Organization's Affordability Framework
