EPA head Lee Zeldin, backed by President Trump and unelected billionaire Elon Musk, has launched an unprecedented all-out assault on environmental protections.

Administrator Zeldin announced staggering plans to repeal or weaken dozens of crucial standards that protect public health and address the climate crisis.

At the same time, the administration, backed by Musk and his DOGE team, is firing staff responsible for helping to enforce pollution laws and dismantling environmental justice programs that protect our most vulnerable and overburdened communities from pollution and toxics.

None of this is a surprise: These actions are clearly laid out in Project 2025, the administration’s blueprint for environmental destruction. And they’re just getting started.
