According to climate scientists, the number one thing California cities can do to address climate change is to legalize infill, multi-family housing near jobs, schools, and transit.

For decades, planners and climate experts have known that sprawl-style, single-unit housing development leads to more pollution from cars. It also exposes more people to the risk of catastrophic wildfires and floods, since so many new homes are built in high hazard zones – instead of in climate-safe areas of our cities and suburbs.
