The Medicare for All Act faces its first major hurdle on Tuesday, April 30: a hearing by the House Rules Committee.
Big Pharma and insurance lobbyists are ramping up the pressure on key Democrats, including Speaker Nancy Pelosi, to make sure the bill dies in committee, and there are already four Democratic Rules members who could use their seats to kill the legislation and keep it from getting a floor vote.
