Apply to Join Bike Durham's Board of Directors
Thank you for your interest in joining Bike Durham's Board of Directors. We are a volunteer board of up to fifteen people who are passionate about making transportation in Durham safe, affordable, and sustainable for everyone. New board members are appointed for two year terms by a majority of current board members.
We are seeking up to eight (8) individuals to fill open positions in 2023. We are particularly seeking candidates with experience or skills in fundraising, HR, accounting, communications, community organizing, equitable transportation policy, and organizational development.
Bike Durham is committed to building a diverse Board of Directors and organization. People of color, women, people with disabilities, and LGBTQ candidates of all ages are strongly encouraged to apply. During the year, we identify and subsidize diversity, equity, and inclusion training sessions that we strongly encourage all Board members to attend.
