CCAA is an all-volunteer grass roots organization where membership is defined by levels of commitment to meaningfully reduce human created climate change (HCCC).

About CCAA

The mission of CCAA is to reduce the amount of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere through individual and community education and action while supporting fair and just public policies and legislation.

Past projects include but are not limited to:

• Surveying local political candidates on the issue of climate change
• Organization of rallies and marches
• Tours of renewable energy sites
• Educating the public about climate crisis solutions through tabling, forums, conferences and more

Select your membership level based on your willingness to do any or all of the following:

Level 1 Member

• Learn about CCAA goals and actions through newsletter/social media
• Attend virtual/in-person CCAA events
• Publicize CCAA events with family and friends
• Inform CCAA about similar organizational events
• Share ideas with CCAA about strategies to reduce human-created climate change (HCCC)
• Attend a CCAA monthly meeting – (idea is to develop rudimentary understanding of group organizational structure and get to know leadership)

Level 2 Member

• Help to plan/organize an event or action
• Attend some CCAA monthly meetings; - (idea is to become familiar with organizational structure and to become trained in leadership skills)
• Write a contribution to the CCAA website, Facebook page or newsletter
• Participate in forming strategies/solutions to reduce HCCC
• Mentor Level one Members

Level 3 Member

• Lead standing and/or ad hoc committees (ex. education, fundraising, media, etc.)
• Lead coalition-building team with environmental and social justice organizations
• Serve on the board of directors
• Provide instruction/oversite for Level One and Two Members
• Engage in actions on the local, state, federal, and international level to further CCAA goals to reduce HCCC
• Look for ways for CCAA to participate in other organizations’ HCCC related events
