Help Build a Democratic Movement from the Ground Up
A growing wave of local organisers and facilitators are mobilising to work in service to the country
A new kind of political movement is rising, one rooted in communities across the UK and committed to delivering power to the people. We are hoping to feed into Your Party and the over 700,000 people who signed up in one week. The momentum is electric!
The climate and democracy movement has the skills to embed a culture of inclusion and respect into our meetings and assemblies. We have now an opportunity (and responsibility!) to be in service to this new movement, to help create open, welcoming spaces where regular people can meet face-to-face to connect and shape meaningful decisions about our future.
To make this happen, the movement is coming together to launch a national wave of mass trainings — in facilitation, mobilising, assemblies — and we need your help.

How Can You Help?
1. Trainers
Have you facilitated an assembly before? Do you believe you have the skills to channel the views of others? We are running a refresher course on facilitation to help build the skills and confidence needed to spark empowering local assemblies and meet-ups, followed by workshops to learn how to train many more.
2. 'Super' Trainers
Are you a seasoned trainer in facilitation or assembly organising and wish to step forward for a important role of service at this time? We are looking for a tight team to support & mentor other trainers, lead regional training events and help design and adapt training resources. This role is for experienced facilitators or organisers ready to take on more responsibility and dive head-first into this rising movement party. Start off by coming along to a culture of inclusion briefing.
3. Community Organisers
Would you be interested in running assemblies for a community project in your area? We'd like you to register your interest in helping to set up and run a campaign, including surveys on the doorstep and a regular series of assemblies to listen to local people. For the first few weeks you’ll be supported with tools, templates, workshops and a national network. No experience required, just a commitment to being in service to democracy and your community.
