Tell the Senate Ethics Committee: Investigate donations received by Clarence Thomas and Kyrsten Sinema. Billionaires shouldn’t be able to buy SCOTUS or U.S. Senators.

A bombshell new investigation has revealed that for decades Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas secretly and inappropriately accepted luxury vacations and other gifts from Republican megadonor Harlan Crow. But Clarence Thomas wasn’t the only official to receive donations from Crow—FEC filings reveal that he also maxed out to Sen. Kyrsten Sinema as she worked to obstruct Democrats’ economic package in 2021. Sen. Sinema even had to refund some of the money because he tried to give her more than the legal limit.

It appears that Crow’s, an avid collector of Nazi artifacts and the proud owner of a signed copy of Hitler’s Mein Kampf and a set of linens emblazoned with the Nazi logo, among other Nazi artifacts, investments paid off. Clarence Thomas went on to vote to overturn Roe v. Wade and Sinema was successful in watering down and delaying President Biden’s economic plan. Sinema even managed to save a special tax carveout for the ultra-wealthy like Crow.

Billionaires shouldn’t be able to buy SCOTUS decisions or Senate votes. That’s why we need the Senate ethics committee to investigate whether Kyrsten Sinema may have accepted other inappropriate gifts from Crow or other billionaire donors.
