Tulsa DSA's Bylaws Committee has completed a draft of our bylaws! After 11 meetings over the course of six months, implementing changes from the National Bylaws Review team, and voting as a committee to finalize this draft we are finally ready to submit it to our members for a vote!

How will voting on bylaws work?

We will be voting electronically and using OpaVote to conduct the Bylaws vote as directed by National. Voting will be open to members in good standing who live in the geographical location the Tulsa Chapter will preside over. Voting will begin September 7th at 9AM and conclude on September 13th at 5PM (central time, of course). In order to participate in the electronic voting, you must complete this form with a valid email address and the name associated with your membership by September 6th at 5PM. You must also be a verifiable member in good standing by this time.  

Who is eligible?

Members in good standing of the Tulsa DSA Organizing Committee are eligible to vote on these bylaws that will govern our chapter upon approval of these bylaws and our chapter application once reviewed by the National Political Committee. To be a member in good standing you must be A) up to date on your dues with National DSA OR B) Have an active dues waiver AND live within the geographical location in which the Tulsa chapter will preside over. Again, you must be a verifiable member in good standing by September 6th at 5PM! So if you have not signed up officially to be a member, do so ASAP! If you have received a confirmation email or dues payment receipt with membership listed as the Tulsa chapter, you are good to go!

If you are completing this on or after September 4th, it is recommended that you submit membership verification such as confirmation of a dues waiver or dues payment to us through email at tulsadsa2@gmail.com.

How can I verify or update membership information with National DSA?

Please ensure your address and dues payment/waiver information is current with National DSA! You can confirm membership information with National by emailing them at membership@dsausa.org.
