But how can our chapter better leverage the power we have and build durable institutional structures to take advantage of future gains? One tactic the chapter has voted to prioritize this year is the formation of Socialist in Office (SIO) committees for each of our elected officials.

And with Boston Mayor Michelle Wu unveiling her rent control proposal, there is no better time than the present to form an SIO committee to coordinate and strategize with our member Kendra Lara, District Six's city councilor who DSA-endorsed in 2021.
