M.E.B.A. All the Way! Authorization Card for OSG Deck Officers

This Authorization (Pledge) Card will be used to show the National Labor Relations Board that OSG Deck Officers want Union recognition and collective bargaining rights. By filling out this online form, you are signaling your desire to have the M.E.B.A. represent you and negotiate on your behalf with OSG. M.E.B.A. has the best contracts in the maritime industry with the highest paying jobs, most protective work rules and best benefits. This form, as well as traditional pledge cards, are completely confidential from your employer.

Once enough OSG Deck Officers have signed cards choosing the M.E.B.A. as their Union, we will seek official recognition in a secret ballot election through the National Labor Relations Board so we can start bargaining on your behalf. Collective bargaining means more rights and more power to shape our lives. Collectively we have more power to negotiate than we have as individuals, and with the solidarity of all the Officers on OSG vessels, we can ensure every Officer is compensated fairly and with the respect they deserve.

By becoming part of the M.E.B.A., OSG Deck Officers are guaranteed they retain their position or status with the company. But additionally, as an M.E.B.A. member, they may choose to seek employment with our other contracted companies that employ licensed deck officers - such as Keystone, MTL/Hapag, Maersk "M" Ships, Liberty Maritime, Chevron, Interlake Steamship, multiple ferry fleets and even a Hawaiian cruise ship (NCL), among others. Additional Deck jobs are available to members via our Pass-Through agreement with MM&P. The M.E.B.A. represents all modes of maritime work giving you a choice of where you want to work.
