We are looking for members who want to give a helping hand to the party and support the committee, councillors and candidates in preparation for the 2023 Local Elections.

If you want to make a difference, help get more Green Councillors elected and create a better Liverpool, one of the many roles below might be for you.


• Non-campaigning Candidates

We need as many people as possible to represent the Green Party on the ballot paper in May 2023 as we are facing an all out elections next year with over 70 brand new wards. Volunteering to put your name on the ballot paper constitutes a massive contribution to our local party as it shows people that there is an alternative to the status quo and encourages people to ask for Greener communities and social policies. You will not be expected to campaign and it's highly unlikely that you'll be elected, so it will not require any time for you to be a non-campaigning candidate.

• Candidates

We will be opening another candidate selection process very soon, so if you feel you can represent your local community and want to help improve Liverpool, this is for you! If you would prefer to start shadowing one of our existing candidates in North and South Liverpool, email us to elections@liverpool.greenparty.org.uk

• Campaign Supporters

We need members to help us deliver the candidates' leaflets and/or canvass across Everton, St Michaels, Greenbank and Wavertree. If you can spare a couple of hours a month, that will make a real difference to our candidates. You can also get involved with many activities to help our ongoing campaigns, anything from data entry to copywritting.

Within our committee we are looking for additional support in the areas below:

• Membership Volunteer

Do you like talking to people? If so, you’ll help keep members connected and engage with the party.

• Fundraising Volunteer
If you have experience of organising crowdfunding, fundraising events or donations, this position is ideal for you!

• Finance Volunteer
If you are good with Excel and have an understanding of budgets/accountancy, you could be the perfect fit alongside our Treasurer

• Election Agent
If you love elections processes, this role is for you, as you’ll be one of the main points of contact with the Council for all things elections and nominations related. You'll represent our candidates and help to make sure that rules and regulations are met in a timely fashion.
