Choreographers Guild is seeking nominations for 24 Executive Board positions and all six officer positions: President, Secretary-Treasurer, and four Vice Presidents. Each position will be for a two-year term beginning in the Spring of 2026. Self-nominations and nominations of others are welcome.

Criteria: Candidates must be members in good standing of Choreographers Guild, or must become members by applying and paying dues at least 30 days before ballots are mailed, which is expected to be in March, 2026. We'll check with nominees to make sure they accept the nomination and would be willing to serve. Individual members may be candidates for both an Officer position and and an Executive Board position, but if elected as an Officer would not be additionally elected as an Executive Board member, since each Officer is already a member of the Executive Board by default.

Here is more information on each elected position open for nominations:

President: The President presides at all meetings of the Executive Board, has the authority to sign agreements on behalf of the Guild, and performs other leadership duties. The President is also a member of the Executive Board.

Secretary-Treasurer: The Secretary-Treasurer is responsible for maintaining the minutes of Executive Board meetings; keeping records of all income and disbursements and all assets and liabilities; and overseeing the Guild's banking, dues and membership systems. The Secretary-Treasurer is also a member of the Executive Board.

Vice President: The four Vice Presidents perform the duties of the President when the President is absent, stay in close contact with the President, assist the President as needed, and may perform other leadership duties. The Vice Presidents are also members of the Executive Board. The four Vice President candidates who receive the most votes will be elected.

Executive Board Member: The Executive Board, which will have 24 members in addition to the officers, is the main governing body of the Guild. It meets four times per year on a Saturday to set policies and strategy, make committee appointments, set budgets, and perform other duties as set by the bylaws. The 24 candidates who receive the most votes will be elected.
