Climate Camp Scotland 2025 - Dismantle Fossil Fascism

DISMANTLE FOSSIL FASCISM - CLIMATE CAMP SCOTLAND 2025
22-29 JULY, SCOTTISH CENTRAL BELT
Climate breakdown is here. Wildfires, floods and heatwaves are destroying communities and lives across the globe. We are witnessing the climate crisis before our very eyes.
The world has entered a new era of far-right authoritarianism carving up the world. From Trump’s imperialist agenda to seize Greenland for mineral extraction, to Russia’s continuing war on Ukraine, fascist regimes are financing their wars through their obsession with fossil fuels. We have arrived in an age of fossil fascism.
In Scotland, fossil fuel companies openly collaborate with the newly empowered far right. The oil and gas company Ithaca, partly owned by Israeli firm Delek Group, directly finances land grabs in Palestinian territories and supplied IDF military vehicles. The Glasgow-based shipping company Seapeak helps Russia avoid sanctions and transports liquid natural gas (LNG) financing the Russian war effort. INEOS, the oil and gas manufacturer owned by billionaire Jim Ratcliffe, fires hundreds of workers while doubling down on importing fracked gas from the US, extracted from indigenous land and harming vulnerable communities.
This year’s climate camp takes place in the shadow of the rise of the far-right and increasing police repression. We bring together climate activists with antifascist organisers, trans and queer activists, Palestine organisers, land justice and indigenous communities, to organise, learn, and build a resilient movement together to take action against the new age of fossil fascism.
Climate Breakdown and Fossil Fascists will not wait for us to get ready.
The time to act is now.
