Community Choice Energy for Pleasanton

The County of Alameda and 11 of its cities formed East Bay Community Energy (EBCE), the not-for-profit public agency that will govern this new Community Choice Energy (CCE) service. More and more CCE entities are coming online, but Pleasanton and Newark did not join EBCE.

EBCE started to supply electricities in June 2018. Today all the municipal accounts in the county except Newark and Pleasanton enjoy their Carbon Free electricity without any increase of their costs.

In 3 cities (Emeryville, Hayward and Piedmont) residents are also Carbon free unless they opted out or down. For the first time we could have affordable choices in our electricity mixes only if Pleasanton join EBCE as shown below.

Please join our team to urge city of Pleasanton to join EBCE!
