Community Forum with U.S. Representative Joe Courtney- Your Health Care at Risk
More than a quarter million residents in Connecticut are at risk of losing their medical insurance if escalating threats to repeal the Affordable Care Act (ACA) are carried out. At the same time, thousands of Medicaid patients would lose coverage, putting unbearable burdens on our local community hospitals. Added to these massive disruptions are proposals by Congressional Republicans to privatize Medicare.
U.S Representative Joe Courtney pledges to fight to retain the progress we made in extending health insurance coverage to 20 million more Americans, and he's just agreed to hear our concerns at a forum:
When: Wednesday, January 25th from 5:30 to 7:30 PM
Where: Rose City Senior Center, 8 Mahan Drive, Norwich CT Directions
Given these potential federal policy changes, the state of Connecticut will be faced with enormous challenges and difficult decisions to make. We urge you to attend this forum, and speak directly to Congressman Courtney about the importance of controlling hospital mergers & acquisitions, maintaining access to local health services, controlling spiraling health care costs, and ensuring there is strong and robust investment in the health and well-being of our families and communities.
We appreciate your commitment and dedication to this important issue. Please RSVP today!
