From the 17th to the 18th of August, we are hosting the most important event of our annual calendar; the Young Greens convention. This is a chance to have your say in the future of the Young Greens, to see our new Executive Committee get elected, and to say goodbye to our outgoing Exec.

To make the Young Greens Convention accessible to all, we are able to provide financial assistance to those who need it. We know that for many young people, financial costs often prevent full engagement in politics, especially in internal democratic processes. As such, we are providing financial assistance to cover the costs of travel and accommodation for the duration of Convention!

We strongly encourage all those who feel that cost is a barrier to attending Convention to fill in this form. If you are unsure about anything, including what or how much we can cover, any issues encountered while filling in this form, or have any other questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to get in touch at admin@younggreens.org.uk.

Note: all information submitted through this form is strictly confidential and will not be shared without your permission. If you go on to make a claim through the Access Fund, these details may be shared in confidence with members of the Green Party’s finance team.

We encourage all attendees to use value and low-carbon travel options. You can often split your train ticket for a cheaper fare on https://trainsplit.com/, and coach services such as National Express and Megabus may prove less expensive than the train. Likewise, where possible please look for suitable accommodation and prioritise budget friendly options and consider splitting rooms with friends. The Young Greens Treasurer will contact you shortly. All approved applications work on a reimbursement basis. Please register for Convention in the meantime; we encourage Access Fund applicants to purchase travel tickets as soon as possible. The deadline for applications to the Access Fund is 12:00 on 2nd September.
