Know Your Rights!

There are many ways to cast your ballot—including in-person earlyvoting, absentee, and at the polls. You can vote even if you’ve been convicted, as long as you are not currently serving a sentence in jail or prison.

ABSENTEE: If you plan to vote absentee, your absentee ballot must be received by your local city clerk by 8 p.m. on Election Day—it’s best to hand-deliver it this close to the election.

EARLY: You can vote in person any time between now and the August 4th election. Just visit your city clerk’s office or any of the voting centers. For your city clerk’s location, visit Michigan.gov/vote and click “Your Clerk.” ELECTION DAY: You are still able to vote at the polls. Election Day is August 4th
