Create and Connect: RSVP for our Art Therapy Workshops!

FICC is hosting Creating Resilience: Art Therapy Workshop Series for Mental Health in a Changing Climate in 2025 in partnership with Art + Soul Clinic's Brenda Echeverry, a Dorchester-based expressive arts therapist and teaching artist! This 5-part series is designed to support our mental health in the face of a changing climate. Explore guided hands-on activities to cultivate emotional strength, mindfulness, and community connection. Join us to nurture your well-being, build resilience, and create a brighter future together!

What if your creativity could also be a call to action? During our fifth and final workshop this year — "Artivism" for Climate Justice with Black-Out Poetry — we will transform written texts into powerful works of art and advocacy and explore how creativity can help us process emotions, reflect on climate justice, and transform anxiety into action. Join us for an evening of creation and connection!

Date: Wednesday, November 5th
Time: 6:00-8:00pm
Location: Oasis Community Room, Second Church of Dorchester, 44 Moultrie St, Dorchester, MA 02124

No previous art experience is required to attend. Light food and refreshments will be served.

NOTE: Please use the entrance to the church located on Centre St, from the church parking lot. You are welcome to park on that side of the lot as well. Also, the Oasis is a shoes off space; to maintain cleanliness of the old carpet, they ask that we take our shoes off or wear shoe covers that will be provided. Thank you for your cooperation.
