Crew Lead Sign-Up

Are you ready to mobilize for a Free DC — and want to bring other people along with you? Becoming a Crew Leader is a great way to step into more leadership within our organizing. Here's what's involved and how to get started!

What is a Crew?
A Crew is a small group of people who organize together and are accountable to one another. This should be a group of about 5-10 people who know and trust one another. These folks could be neighbors, friends, co-workers, people from your faith congregation or civic association, fraternity or sorority siblings, or people you have taken action with in the past. They don't necessarily need to be part of Free DC's existing teams.

What is a Crew Leader?
Your role as a Crew Leader is to invite people to action and support their participation. You’ll remind and encourage them, answer questions, help them navigate obstacles, and help everyone coordinate with each other. You'll also create a culture of mutual support, so the members of your Crew look out for one another.

Get connected
Fill out the form on this page to get support and resources from Free DC's Team Leaders. We'll send you our Crew Leader Guide with more information about how to recruit and support your Crew, and your Ward Team leader will reach out between now and our next mobilization to make sure you have what you need to get started.

DC is stronger together — and that's going to take all of us. We look forward to organizing with you!
