Cymru Together - open letter

Letter goes here in English and welsh (side by side) - obviously this isn't the letter:

In Wales, a spirit of care runs deep. We care for one another — and for the land that has shaped us. Looking out for each other isn’t just something we do - it’s part of who we are. Through tough times - from hard days in the valleys, on our farms or in our flooded homes to the struggles of keeping our language and culture alive - we’ve stood together, strong and determined. No matter what’s thrown our way, our communities hold fast, rooted in a spirit of resilience and care that’s uniquely Welsh

Right now, families across Wales are struggling to afford to live. This is because we’ve been left to pay the price for a system that’s failed us for decades. While profits continue to soar and a handful get richer and richer, the rest of us suffer with high-bills, polluted air and water, crumbling public services and worsening health. Whether we live in Barry or Bethesda, most of us want the same things, but fossil fuel billionaires and the politicians they bankroll are dividing us by race, class, and region — just to protect their profits.

When it's done right, action on climate change, means good quality jobs, warm homes, clean air, fertile soil and free, clean energy we own and control. Let’s not hand our future to powerful corporate or ideological forces that thrive on division and delay. Let’s come together - from all walks of life - and champion a future that benefits everyone and everything - for people and nature - not just the few.

No matter where we come from or what our background, most of us work hard for our families. Across our small nation, people are rolling up their sleeves and creating the future we deserve. From food co-ops to warm banks, from local energy projects to community care — we are already planting the seeds of a fairer, kinder future for our children and grandchildren. We’re not waiting for permission or empty promises. We’re growing something of our own, positive, can-do communities that are about fairness and hope.

Action on climate change in Wales is about the kind of strength that comes from standing together, choosing a better future and protecting what we love. This means a country that cares for its people, its culture and its places now, and for future generations. We need our politicians and policymakers to support us, not just the wealthy few. Communities thrive when there’s a plan that puts people at the centre. This is our time. This is our Wales. Let’s build our future — together.
