Bike Climate Action Team spreads and calls for your support!

Bike Climate Action Team (B-CAT) is now taking additional steps to growing in Flagstaff and Sedona and Prescott and Verde Valley.
Are you interested in getting involved in local bike and pedestrian issues focused on health, safety, and carbon reduction?
Get on your bike and reduce your carbon footprint. A climate-friendly bike ride would be perfect for over half of all daily trips less than three miles long. Bicycling even emerged as a solution to ensuring a sustainable future for everyone, now and in the future, by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change in 2021. Below are some examples of how you can protect the environment by modifying one small part of your transportation habits.
Cleaner Air - Bicycles are human-powered and don't emit pollution because they aren't powered by gasoline and do not emit carbon dioxide into the atmosphere.
Less Noise - An environmentally friendly alternative to noisy vehicles is to replace them with quiet bikes, which reduce engine noise and traffic congestion.
Brighter Future - Future generations are at risk from climate change, wildfires, droughts, and other more severe events. Biking is an effective way to mitigate the warming that fuels these extreme events, with transportation significantly contributing to greenhouse gas emissions.
