We’re training people in the Melbourne region to support and lead their communities to stand in solidarity with women garment workers in the Global South.

You’ll learn all about ActionAid Australia, our campaign to ensure women garment workers have decent work conditions, women’s rights and community organising. You’ll gain a range of new skills including how to communicate strategically, build a team and plan events.

We’re recruiting leaders from Melbourne to come together at a weekend activist retreat in Portarlington, Victoria from Saturday 5th June to Sunday 6th June 2021 to discuss and strategise on how we stand in solidarity with women garment workers fighting for their rights in the Global South.

Covid-19 Safety
ActionAid Australia aims to provide an informative and safe training session. Hand sanitiser will be  provided. Face masks aren't mandatory but will be provided also. Physical distancing is encouraged.

Women, people with a disability, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander, LGBTIQ and people from culturally and linguistically diverse communities are encouraged to apply.
