Defending Intellectual Freedom: Library Workers on the Front Line

NOTE: Due to schedule conflicts, we have had to postpone this event. We'll be announcing a new guest speaker and date/time for the webinar ASAP. In the meantime, please feel free to RSVP and we'll email you when we have rescheduled.

In Ohio - and around the country - intellectual freedom is under attack. Extreme politicians are trying to restrict what can be taught and discussed in K-12 schools and even in Ohio's institutions of higher education. In our libraries, we're being deluged by bad faith book challenges that threaten our mission to provide unbiased information and resources to our community, to protect the freedom to read, and to make sure that every library patron feels included and represented - no matter what they look like or where they come from.

It's essential that library workers have an organized voice in our communities and our workplaces.

Join us for a discussion about how librarians and library workers can advocate for ourselves, for our profession, and for intellectual freedom by organizing with our coworkers.
