DEMAND THAT THE U.S. MILITARY NEVER USE AIRCRAFT BEARING FIRST AMERICAN NAMES AGAINST AMERICANS
The military recognizes the heroism of Native Americans in service, which is why aircraft is often named after First Americans and our tribes. That's why we were horrified to see an aircraft named after the Lakota Sioux tribe used against Americans, on American soil, during a peaceful protest against injustice in Washington, D.C.
It’s an outrageous insult to the tribe and a threat to our First Amendment freedoms.
We’re calling on the military to ban the use of any and all craft bearing the name of First Americans and our tribes against the American people.
