In a time of growing corruption, distrust in good governance, and climate shocks we need all civil society leaders to pledge to refuse to hire or collaborate with lobbyists who also work for Big Oil, Coal, Gas, and Forever Chemicals. Sharing lobbyists with polluters, like the ACC, and those peddling forever chemicals only image launders those working on the wrong side of history and keeps our climate movements from winning.

A chemical industry trade association with more than 190 member companies, ACC has been the leading voice of denialism about the health risks from PFAS and other chemicals for decades. ACC has fought federal and state efforts to limit the use of PFAS in manufacturing commercial goods, and it has fought state and federal efforts to limit the spread of PFAS in water supplies, agriculture, and the food supply. Today, ACC even supports the federal pre-emption of all state laws regulating PFAS.

A victory for ACC on the issue of federal preemption of PFAS regulation would profoundly increase the risks to all Americans from these toxic chemicals.
