ACTION: Contact your legislators today

Action Alert: The federal budget framework proposed by President Trump will slash OSHA, the Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) and completely eliminate Susan Harwood Training Grants and the U.S. Chemical Safety Board.

Rep. Mark Takano, (D-CA) and Rep. Joe Courtney (D-CT) are circulating a sign-on letter for full funding of OSHA in the coming budget cycle. They need 18 more names by Monday, April 3rd.

Can you call your Rep today and ask him to add his or her name? Call the U.S. Capitol Switchboard today to connect with your U.S. Representative:  202-601-0621

Urgent action is required to reduce death and suffering in U.S. workplaces. Every year, more than 4,800 American workers die on the job from preventable workplace trauma. Three million more suffer workplace injuries and illnesses. Cutting funds for worker training and enforcement of safety rules is a step backwards and will make our workplaces more dangerous.

Call the U.S. Capitol Switchboard:

(202) 601-0621

Connect to your U.S. Representative. Tell him or her:

*Please sign the Takano/Courtney letter and support full funding for OSHA and job safety.

*4,800+ workers a year die on the job. We need more inspections and enforcement, not less.

*All workers have a right to earn a living and return home alive and well to their families.

After you've finished your call, fill out the form at the right to tell us how it went -- thanks!
