The fossil fuel industry has taken over COP29, the United Nation's annual climate conference.

Azerbaijan, an oil dependent autocracy, is the host of this year's global climate negotiations and has appointed a former fossil fuel executive from its state oil company, SOCAR, to be the President of COP29.  

In fact, SOCAR has announced plans to expand fossil fuel production –– a direct violation of the Paris Agreement.

We can't afford to let Azerbaijan's fossil fuel interests take over meaningful climate action at COP29!

Take action now to demand and end to fossil fuels and stop the fossil fuel industry from greenwashing their plans to expand oil production.
