Endorse the Call for Alameda County & Other Bay Area Governments to Adopt an Ethical Investment Policy and Divest

Please join our movement to pressure our Bay Area local governments to fully divest from companies that facilitate Israel's genocide against the people of Palestine by demanding that they adopt and implement ethical investment policies. Fill out this form to endorse our letters to the Alameda County Board of Supervisors (BOS) and to local elected officials around the Bay Area.

Alameda County BOS: Alameda County recently made history when our elected Treasurer, Hank Levy, divested the county of its $32 million in Caterpillar bonds. Moreover, the BOS unanimously voted to direct him to develop an ethical investment policy in 90 days to be approved by the BOS. We know that Zionist forces will do everything in their power to prevent our county from actually adopting and implementing a policy that truly aligns our investment practices with our community's values.

We must continue to pressure our county officials to deliver an investment policy that is truly ethical and screens for human rights violations such as the ones Israel commits. Review our letter to the Alameda County BOS and endorse by filling out this form.

The Rest of the Bay Area: Just as with Alameda County, we expect all Bay Area counties, cities (including those in Alameda County), and governmental entities to invest our public funds in a way that reflects our communities' values and minimizes harm to other people and our planet. Review our letter demanding that Bay Area officials do so.

Notes:
* The version of the letters to be delivered to public officials will be in substantially the same form as the final drafts linked above.
** Here is a partial listing of investments we have deemed to be problematic around the Bay Area. We may adjust a letter to a particular Bay Area locality to reference that locality's specific problematic investments.
*** We may list the names and logos of signatory organizations on the letters. We also may display a letter as an open one to demonstrate our collective power once we attain a substantial number of endorsements.
