On July 1st, 450,000 New Yorkers lost their Essential Plan coverage.

The Essential Plan is a low- or no-cost health coverage plan, similar to Medicaid.
These cuts are a result of HR1, the "Big Beautiful Bill for Billionaires" passed by Congress last year, and the inaction of the New York State Governor and Legislature, who refused to address these cuts in the New York State Budget.

The New York Nonviolent Medicaid Army is organizing to fight back.
