Building upon Minnesota's win against Metro Surge, we are bringing together 30 people across race, class, and neighborhood who recognize their own leadership potential to deepen connections and level up our strategic and organizing capacities. We'll prepare for future authoritarian attacks, such as (and not limited to) Trump invoking the Insurrection Act, consolidated attacks against trans people, ignoring the election results, ICE killing another person, and more. We will lay the groundwork for building a free and thriving Minnesota on the other side of authoritarianism.

At the end of 6 months cohort members can expect to have:

• Caring Community: A community of leaders and friends to trust and move with when democracy is compromised
• Strategic Analysis: A collective analysis and shared strategic direction to guide action to prevent/during crisis
• Leadership Skills: An ability to lead your self and community through uncertainty with the confidence of new leadership behaviors and organizing skills
• Joy: Oh, and good times, lol. Joy is at the top of the agenda.

This Learning and Action Cohort includes:

• Learning & Strategy: Meet two times per month from June - December for learning and collaboration
• Good Times: Social activities throughout (optional, but who can say no to tacos and a mid-day dance party?)
• Coaching: Coaching from experienced organizers to receive support as we wrestle with our own leadership through conflict, crisis, and uncertainty.
• New Ideas: Guest speakers

The expectation of participants are:

• Attend at least 75% of monthly meetings
• Actively organize your people (neighborhoods, community members, family, school parents, etc.)
• Show up ready to learn, grow, and try new things
