Graduate Worker Unions are a democratic voice in higher education and work to improve the lives of all graduate workers they represent, especially the most vulnerable. Furthermore, graduate unions have acted together with other higher education unions to win cross-campus rights and protections in campus communities.

For this reason, I support the GLU’s (SEIU) plan to win a recognized union and be in coalition to lift up all workers across the University of Rochester. I understand unions win by taking actions (including but not limited to signing petitions, sending letters, attending rallies, meetings, and press conferences, and striking) and support taking actions (to be determined) to win graduate labor rights at UofR. I authorize SEIU Local 200United to act as my exclusive representative in collective bargaining over wages, benefits, and other terms and conditions of employment with my employer.
