Help #FixPayrollNow for Gaston Educators
We're gaining momentum - but we can't stop now!
Hundreds of educators have taken action this week to raise awareness about the ongoing payroll issues that are being experienced by Gaston County Schools employees.
RSVP here & take action to #FixPayrollNow:
- Share this video to spread the word on the importance of being at the Gaston school board to demand they commit to #FixPayrollNow and to provide a meaningful retention bonus so our students and schools don't lose staff as a result of this issue.
- Show your support on Monday, September 19 at 5 pm at the Gaston County Board of Education Meeting at the Gaston County Schools Central Office, 943 Osceola Street, Gastonia. If you would like to speak to the Board regarding an agenda item or other topic, please call the Superintendent's Office, (704) 866-6100.

Take action now before this system rolls out statewide.
Due to state law passed by the NC General Assembly, this problematic system will soon be required in every school district.
Ever since implementing the new payroll system mandated by the NC General Assembly, the Gaston school district has experienced problem after problem. The system is so bad, some educators haven't been accurately paid in months. According to state law passed by the NC General Assembly this problematic system will soon be required in every school district. Please join us in demanding that NC State Treasurer Dale Folwell, NCDPI School Business Systems Modernization (SBSM) Program Director Barry Pace, State Legislators, and the Gaston County Superintendent W. Jeffrey Booker take immediate action to ensure educators are paid all past and current wages, including bonuses, supplements and mistaken deductions, and that the broken system that they are requiring is either immediately repaired or no longer mandated by law.
