Host a #HereToStay Action Event

These past few weeks have been hard. Our community has been under constant attack by people who don’t think we belong here. But we come from a history of resilience, and we carry the power to make a difference. That’s why this Saturday, July 22nd, we’re hosting a #HereToStay National Day of Action - to send a clear message that we’re not going anywhere. Will you help us show our strength in numbers and join or host an event?

Here’s what’s been going down:

  1. On Friday, June 23, the Trump administration publicly doubled down on their support of Texas SB4, a legislation that will discriminate people based on their country of origin, skin color, and accent.

  2. On Thursday, June 29, ten state Attorney Generals and the Governor of Idaho sent a letter to the Trump administration demanding that DACA be revoked.

  3. On Friday, June 30, the House passed the “No Sanctuary for Criminals Act” and “Kate’s Law,” two anti-immigrant bills that will increase mass deportation, tear families apart, and continue the criminalization of immigrants.

  4. And in the next few weeks, Senate will vote to replace the Affordable Care Act (ACA) with a new bill that would put more than 6 million Latinos, including 1 million children, at risk of losing coverage.

These are all personal attacks - directed at us, our family, and our friends. That’s why we’re hitting the streets with clipboards in our hands, will you grab a clipboard with us?
