Host an "END ICE CAMPS" event!

Urgent Call to Action: Mobilize Against ICE Expansion on February 28th

The landscape of detention is rapidly shifting, and the window for intervention is closing. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is aggressively expanding its footprint, recently acquiring warehouse facilities in Pennsylvania and Maryland. They have also announced several purchases that they later walked back such as Chester, NY and Roxbury, NJ.

These facilities are being repurposed without regard for basic infrastructure such as lacking the necessary water and sewer capacity to humanely sustain the populations they intend to hold. History serves as a grim reminder of what happens when mass detention outpaces administrative capacity. We cannot remain silent while these structures are prepared for the suffering of our neighbors.

How You Can Take a Stand

On February 28th, we are calling on all advocates for human rights to lead peaceful protest actions. We must send a unified message: End ICE Camps.

Ways to participate:

  • Local Action: Organize a peaceful demonstration in your town square or community center.
  • Targeted Pressure: Protest at the corporate offices of the warehouse owners like the ones here in New Jersey or in your own state.
  • Direct Advocacy: Continue applying pressure to the businesses and stakeholders linked to these developments.

Why Your Leadership Matters

We cannot wait for national organizations to issue the call. This is a grassroots moment that requires us to meet the urgency of the situation ourselves. Whether you gather your colleagues, friends, or neighbors, your voice is the primary defense for our community members.

Commitment & Coordination

The time to organize is now. To ensure a coordinated and effective response, please take the following steps:

  1. Commit: Sign up to host an event and we will add it to a flyer to be boosted by organizations all over the state and country.
  2. Inform: Provide clear details on where others can find information regarding your specific event. Use the hashtag #EndICEcamps when posting to social media.
  3. Mobilize: Share this call to action within your professional and personal networks.

Stand with your neighbors. Defend human rights. We will see you on February 28th.
