I'm Sticking with our Union

Today the Supreme Court turned their backs on working people to side with wealthy and powerful extremists who have spent hundreds of millions on their attempts to destroy unions and further rig the economy against everyday Americans. The anti-union billionaires behind the attack are already doing a victory lap, and they are hoping the court's decision will silence our voices. The best way to take the wind out of their sails is to show the world that despite their attacks, we’re sticking together. Take the pledge right now and let them know you’re sticking with our union.

This case wasn’t about petitioner Mark Janus, an Illinois public employee. It’s about the decades-long push by the mega-rich and powerful to preserve and expand their wealth and power at the expense of workers. It’s the latest offensive in the war on working families. It’s about making sure the rich keep getting richer while everyone else gets less.

The folks bankrolling the Janus case know that without unions, workers don’t have a voice to fight for a better life and greater opportunity. And with today’s ruling, the anti-union and anti-worker forces think they’ve won. They think we are defeated.

They underestimate us. And they couldn't be more wrong.

Now is the time to stand together and stay united. We know how much is at stake. We know firsthand that our schools, colleges, hospitals and public services work best when those who do the work have a voice in how the work is done. The communities we serve need us to be their advocates, and our union ensures we are heard.

Union members, and our allies, please sign this pledge and help send the message to those who oppose us and to those who depend on us: We are still here caring, sticking with our union, and reaching out to the people we serve. We have just begun to fight.
