At our January 2025 convention, our chapter discussed a proposal to prioritize Migrant Rights Under an Authoritarian Trump Regime, a campaign planning effort that will advance our chapter's solidarity with migrants in our region facing repression by the Trump administration. Through political campaigning, we will strengthen our chapter's effectiveness generally and deepen San Diego's standing as a region that celebrates diversity in our communities.

Prospective tasks:

• Research - conversations with stakeholders in our community to identify viable political organizing demands
• Outreach - calls and texts to fellow DSA members to encourage participation in meetings, events, forums and campaign actions
• Communications - preparing social media posts and email/newsletter copy
• Coordination - taking meeting notes, scheduling and calendaring meetings, facilitating meetings
• Organizing - planning and leading actions, canvasses, recruiting members to deliver public comment at city council/county supervisor general meetings/committees
