Join Indivisible PA 4 on Action Network

"Without your efforts to start this group I would have been afraid to speak out. I watched the Women's March from my couch because I didn't think I knew a single soul in PA who felt the way I did about the election...I don't even know that girl laying on the couch now! It is not being dramatic to say you and the organizers of the March and Indivisible saved my life."

-Indivisible PA 4th District Member

Indivisible Action PA 4th District was formed shortly after the inauguration of President Donald J. Trump as an affiliate of Indivisible. Focused on the 4th District of Pennsylvania, the group has quickly grown to include over 1,800 members. The first organizational meeting was attended by over 100 individuals and included a review of the group’s guiding principles, objectives, and plans going forward.

A request for help leading committees and taking on specific volunteer role led to over 50 individuals offering their time and talents to the group in such as online forum moderation, website design, policy research, and coordination with other new and existing groups.

To date, the group has provided assistance to constituents wanting to reach out to their legislators by providing daily calls to action, . Going forward the group will work at the local level to host additional in-person meetings and coordinate contact regarding specific topics of interest.

The group consists of members of various political parties including those that describe themselves as lifelong Democrats, some that consider themselves relatively moderate or “social liberal/fiscal conservative” and still more claiming to be “lifelong Republicans until Trump.” Approximately 80% of the membership is female. While many members are very new to political action, the group includes a number of individuals with government and policy experience at every level of government.
