Juneteenth traditions are education, self-development and pride in the resilience and accomplishments of the enslaved and emancipated people.  To achieve their hoped for legacy of full participation in our democracy we need to educate and organize ourselves so our voices will be heard.  

Democracy Centers are a bold new undertaking for communities in Alabama.  Our goal is to educated, advocate and empower community efforts to ensure a better life far all. We use old-fashioned organizing with 21st century technology (Yes, we have an app for that)!
