After a big win at Virginia DEQ, we need you to keep up the momentum!

On October 23, 2025, Mountain Valley Pipeline applied for a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) for the MVP Boost project. In their application, they request that FERC issue an order authorizing the 33% increase of climate destroying methane gas pumped through MVP by November 19, 2026 with a target in-service date for mid-2028.

Why is MVP claiming they need this expansion, including the massive, polluting Swann Compressor Station in an environmental justice community in Elliston, VA? They want to cash in on destructive data center sprawl!

FERC is preparing an environmental assessment (EA) for the project based on the issues raised during the initial scoping period. The EA will be issued by FERC on August 7, 2026, followed by a public comment period ending on September 6, 2026, and a Federal Authorization Decision deadline on November 5, 2026.
